Anti-Bullying Policy

Quokka has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, and abuse, including any behavior that prevents or inhibits constructive communication. Our anti-bullying policies and practices are outlined here to help guide users if they see or experience bullying on Quokka.

Users control their communication on Quokka.

Any user on Quokka can leave a session, turn off replies in a conversation, or block another user.

Report bullying communication or situations.

We encourage users to proactively report any bullying, harassment, or abuse that they see or experience on Quokka. Bullying can include malicious words, rumors, threats of violence, or exclusion from groups or activities; it can also include calls that might seem innocuous outside of relevant contexts.

Users who have been reported may receive a warning or be banned from sending calls on Quokka. In some cases, our team may decide to delete the account of a user who participates in bullying or other harmful behaviors.

Calls are permanently recorded.

Every call sent on Quokka is automatically recorded unless we’re required by law to delete the information. These records allow our team to identify when bullying, abuse or harassment occurs on Quokka.

Calls can’t be edited or deleted after they’re sent. Users can always access a full history of the calls they’ve sent and received on Quokka, even if other users delete their accounts

Safety is a shared responsibility.

We ask everyone in the Quokka community to be aware of and take action against bullying. Although it’s impossible to monitor every space in a community, working together helps keep communication focused on learning and engagement.
